How do I post a study?
Section titled “How do I post a study?”Go to your experiment’s Minds tab, click New Study, fill in the study form, and click Submit for Review. Testable staff review submissions during UK business hours (typically within a few hours).
Do I need a completion code or completion link?
Section titled “Do I need a completion code or completion link?”Only if you are running an external study (the experiment is hosted outside of Testable). In that case, provide either:
- A completion code from your external platform, which Testable Minds displays to participants on finishing.
- A redirect URL that sends participants back to Testable after they complete the external task.
For experiments hosted on Testable, no extra configuration is needed; completion is handled automatically.
How much does it cost?
Section titled “How much does it cost?”Participant fees start at $7.50/hr (Regular Minds) or $10.00/hr (Verified Minds). A 30% platform commission is added on top. See Payments and Credits for details and the budget calculator link.

- 53.6% female
- Approximately 85% from English-speaking countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia)
The pool spans broad educational and occupational backgrounds.
How do I reject a participant?
Section titled “How do I reject a participant?”In the Minds dashboard, within 48 hours of session completion, click the participant’s session and select Reject. You must provide a reason.
The typical rejection rate is around 5%. Valid reasons include:
- Near-zero or patterned reaction times suggesting non-engagement
- Obviously random or near-random responses throughout
- Incomplete form submissions without a plausible technical reason
How long do I have to approve or reject?
Section titled “How long do I have to approve or reject?”You have 48 hours from a participant’s session completion. After that, Testable automatically approves the session.
Is it secure?
Section titled “Is it secure?”Yes. Testable Minds includes:
- Platform-level bot protection
- Identity verification for Verified Minds participants
- Secure payment processing
- Data stored in compliance with relevant regulations
What if a participant has a technical problem?
Section titled “What if a participant has a technical problem?”Use the Minds messaging system to contact the participant. If the issue was on our end, contact Testable support, who can advise on reimbursement or session replacement.
