Downloads live in the **Raw Data** tab of your project's [Data & Results dashboard](/docs/feature-manual/data-and-results). The **Download all** split button offers every format; you can also select specific participants in the table and download only those.

Download All

Downloads all existing result files as a zip folder of individual CSV files, one file per participant session.

• Each file mirrors the structure of the trial file: every row is one trial.
• Use this format when you prefer to combine data yourself with a custom script, or when you want to inspect individual participants’ data separately.

Download Wide

Downloads a single summary CSV where each participant is one row and their responses are spread across columns.

• Choose which trial file columns and participant response variables to include.
• Participant demographics (sex, age, handedness, etc.) collected at the start of the experiment are always included.

Tip

The wide format is especially useful for survey-style experiments, where all answers to the same question end up in the same column.

Enable “Use labels as columns” to replace default trial-row-number headers with the labels you defined in the label column of your trial file.

Download Wide Simplified

A variant of the wide format with a reduced, pre-chosen column set, for when you want one row per participant without going through the column picker.

Download Long

Downloads a single long CSV that stacks all participant results on top of each other.

• All trial file columns (including custom columns) are included.
• Every row still represents one trial from the experiment.

Tip

Use the long format to quickly compute aggregate sample effects where individual differences are not the primary focus. Particularly useful for reaction-time or accuracy tasks.

Download Wide Anonymised

The wide format with participant recruitment codes hashed: Testable Minds codes and SONA IDs are replaced by hashes, in file names and in the participant-info columns. A separate mapping file is included so you can still link hashes back to the original codes when needed, and the same participant hashes to the same value across studies, enabling cross-study linking without exposing identity.

Note

Anonymised download is only relevant for data collected through Testable Minds or SONA; for other recruitment routes it changes nothing.

Caution

Hashing covers the recruitment codes only. Any participant details you collect (age, sex, location, and so on) are still included in the export by default; deselect them in the column picker if the file must not contain them.

Download Proof of Consent

Downloads a single wide-format file with one row per participant, recording their consent.

Each row contains:

• The filename of the corresponding result file
• The participant’s Minds ID (if collected via Testable Minds)
• Any participant details collected during the session
• Confirmation that all consent items were agreed to

Tip

Participants who were not shown a consent screen will not appear in this file, but their results are still available in the regular download. If a participant rejected consent, no data is saved at all.
